IC–043 | "You would kill Rick Scott" If You Cared About Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Transcript. Timestamps are stored-video seconds. [0:00] I cannot believe like, I don't know, maybe people just recently got interested [0:12] in this [0:13] stuff. Maybe is that what it is? Like, where are these people coming from? What [0:19] ? I know [0:20] you're not anti semitic, but consistently breezing over it. This is a lot of [0:22] the reason [0:23] why Israel's okay with straight up Geno. The fuck do you mean? I think that [0:26] that is completely [0:27] unacceptable. What are you talking about? Like what? I know you're not anti [0:34] German, but [0:35] consistently breezing over why the concentration camps were built to begin with [0:40] misses. A lot [0:41] of the reason why Nazi Germany is okay with the Holocaust. [0:57] Yeah, ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. Yeah, I can't believe that someone has [1:25] the [1:25] fucking audacity to do genocide. Apologia. Two questions. It's not please [1:32] educate me [1:32] because I don't see you talk about it a lot. Genuine questions. What do you [1:34] think the [1:35] slash claim Israel wants to do? What do you think is the solution? Also, how do [1:39] you think [1:39] this genocide will end? What do you mean? I think Israel wants to wipe out as [1:43] many of [1:44] the paths as possible and then slowly but surely rebuild settlements in the [1:48] Gaza Strip [1:49] and turn the Gaza Strip back into the West Bank overtake larger parts of the [1:54] West Bank [1:54] and also completely completely destroy any sort of of Palestinian existence in [2:01] the region. [2:02] They just want all of it. And inevitably, they will move on to other parts of [2:05] greater [2:06] Israel. They will move on to southern Lebanon. They've already moved on to a [2:11] larger part [2:12] of southern Syria. Okay, they already have just because they don't talk about [2:18] it just [2:19] because we don't talk about it in Western news doesn't change that reality. [2:24] Israel is already [2:24] overtaken. Large swats of southern Syria. As a matter of fact, they just want [2:33] all the [2:34] Palestinians to fucking die or make it so that they just cannot live at all. [2:42] False. The Jews weren't killing Germans before the Holocaust. What are you [2:51] talking about? [2:52] Yes, it is a fucking do you not understand the comparison I'm making? Yes. I [2:57] don't agree [2:57] with the Nazis. I'm saying that they fucking lied. What? No, Jewish people did [3:08] not kill [3:10] Germans. And then and then that's the reason why Germany had real security [3:14] concerns. That's [3:15] just a lie that the German government told at the time. That's what the that's [3:19] the lie [3:19] that the Nazi party told. The fuck is wrong with you? Anyway, this chat is [3:38] entertaining [3:38] because so many stupid. All right, let's get back to the angry protest. They're [3:41] seeing [3:41] a GOP town halls that the Senate is going to make big changes to what you [3:46] passed last [3:47] night. No, I don't think they will. I think they understand the necessity of [3:52] letting the [3:52] House lead on this. We've got a smaller margin than they do for the first time [3:56] in the modern [3:57] era. The Senate Republicans have a larger margin than we do in the House and I [4:01] 've got [4:01] a much smaller needle to to thread here. And I think they recognize that I get [4:06] 165 more [4:07] personalities to deal with than they do in a much more diverse caucus. So [4:10] Senator Kennedy [4:11] is one of my closest friends. I love his one liners. Okay, but I think what he [4:14] was referring [4:15] to there in that sound by Caitlin is that he doesn't want to cut Medicaid [4:19] Medicaid benefits [4:20] for anybody. And we don't either. I don't either. We're not going to do that. [4:23] That's [4:23] not part of this plan. And the Democrats have been lying about it. And so it's [4:26] important [4:27] for us to clarify that. That's what I think he was referring to. We're not we [4:29] 're going [4:30] to take care of those who are rightful beneficiaries of the programs. We're [4:33] going to cut the fraud [4:35] waste and abuse out of Medicaid. And that's where we're going to get part of [4:38] the savings [4:38] to accomplish this mission. But are people who are covered by Medicaid now [4:42] going to potentially [4:43] lose Medicaid coverage as a result of this? No, look, the White House has made [4:47] a commitment [4:48] the president said over and over and over, we're not going to touch so security [4:52] , Medicare [4:53] or Medicaid. We've made the same commitment. Now, that said, what we are going [4:57] to do is [4:58] go into those programs and carve out the fraud, waste and abuse and find effic [5:01] iencies. A couple [5:02] of examples, you know, there's about $50 billion estimated that are lost every [5:07] year in Medicaid [5:08] just in fraud alone. No, that fraud is not coming from individuals is coming [5:12] from providers. [5:13] They're not tackling providers. They're not actually going after like false [5:17] billing. They [5:18] are trying to cut the recipients. Okay. It is not happening at the point of [5:24] recipients. [5:25] If you cared about Medicare fraud or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott. [5:30] Okay. You [5:31] wouldn't make Rick Scott, former governor of Florida, Rick Scott. You wouldn't [5:35] make him [5:36] the, the current, what is his current office? What is he? He's the Richard Lynn [5:43] Scott is [5:44] an American attorney, businessman politician, Navy veteran serving as the [5:47] senior United States [5:47] Senator from Florida seat. He has held since 2019. And also, I believe this [5:52] past election [5:53] cycle, he was literally the, the fucking head of the, what was it like, the [5:58] Senate committee [5:59] or something? Like the, the Republican fundraising initiatives. The reason why [6:09] I'm saying if [6:10] you cared about Medicare or Medicaid fraud, you would kill Rick Scott is [6:14] because and not [6:15] make him a prominent part of the Republican party is because he to this day is [6:21] still also [6:22] known as committing the largest Medicare fraud in US history. [6:44] They want to cut snap. They want to cut Medicaid. I want to cut the funding of [6:49] Medicaid. They [6:50] want to make it harder for people to receive Medicaid. They don't want to [6:54] actually go [6:55] after the medical providers or the insurance companies or the nursing homes [7:02] that are lining [7:03] their pockets with major donations. Those are the people who actually engage in [7:09] the fraud. [7:10] It's not your uncle. That's like lying about their condition and stealing money [7:14] from, stealing [7:15] money from the government by, you know, going to the doctor or whatever. [7:19] No one's for that. We've got to make sure we eliminate it. We have the [7:22] algorithms now [7:23] to do that. We have advanced technology to find it. We need to ID provide [7:27] identification [7:28] for people who are Medicaid recipients to make sure they are not illegal aliens [7:32] . That's [7:32] another big carve out that we will make to save a lot of money. There are a lot [7:35] of places [7:35] to find efficiencies in these programs and ensure they're going to the people [7:38] they're [7:39] intended to help. If we don't do that, these programs aren't going to remain [7:43] solvent and [7:43] so that's a big part of the equation here. [7:45] Well, I'm glad you brought that up because you talk about waste fraud and abuse [7:48] that you're [7:49] going to look at instead of making cuts other where. But last year between [7:53] Medicaid and Medicare [7:54] combined, there was about $100 billion in improper payments. Now, no one is exc [7:58] using [7:58] that or fraud or any waste and abuse, but you're looking for much larger than [8:03] that. So where [8:03] is the other $780 billion going to come from? [8:07] Well, look, we're talking about cuts that are in the range of $2 trillion, but [8:10] you're [8:11] also talking about the whole of the federal government. We're going to involve [8:15] 11 different [8:15] committees of jurisdiction in this process. So all this attention is being paid [8:20] to Medicaid [8:20] because that's the Democrat's talking point. We're talking is not a Democrat's [8:23] talking [8:24] point. That's where a lot of the money is. And you want to cut it is just what [8:29] is happening [8:31] about a massive piece of legislation that looks at all of the fraud, waste and [8:35] abuse across [8:35] the government and looks at programs that we do need to eliminate that doesn't [8:39] isn't [8:39] we're talking about health care for people that are relying upon that. Look, [8:43] everybody [8:43] needs to watch the process play out. We passed the budget resolution last night [8:47] . It is merely [8:48] a also, I wish that was a Democrat talking point. How sad. Look at how think [8:55] about how [8:56] much we have devolved in American politics. Like it's not even a Democrat [9:01] talking point. [9:02] Like they I've some Democrats talk about it. You know, you got Greg Kazar, AOC. [9:09] There's [9:09] a couple Democrats who like come out and pop off about it. But I wish it was a [9:13] fucking [9:13] Democrat talking point, you know, the level of resistance is so, so bad by the [9:24] Democratic [9:24] party that is not even a fucking Democrat talking point framework to set up [9:30] Democrats [9:30] are too busy trying to, you know, Democrats are too busy trying to set up [9:35] Andrew Cuomo [9:36] as the next mayor of New York, because God forbid, God forbid the DSA back like [9:42] socialist [9:42] adjacent anti-Zionist Zoron actually becomes the mayor. That would be [9:47] terrifying. Democrats [9:48] are also too busy, I don't know, prosecuting children for being pro Palestine. [9:54] That's what [9:54] they're doing. They're also courting Silicon Valley tech CEOs to say, I promise [9:59] when we [9:59] get back in power, we will give you the same level of access that Trump has [10:02] given to Elon [10:03] Musk and these other right wing billionaires. That's what the Democrats are [10:06] doing right [10:06] now. Democrats are also doing this. You know what they're doing? Aside from [10:11] Cuomo seeing [10:12] this possible White House candidate by some Democrats, aside from running for [10:15] New York [10:15] mayor, where's the other thing that the Democrats are doing? Hold on, let me [10:19] see if I can find [10:19] it real quick. I retweeted it earlier today. If you want to understand where [10:30] the Democratic [10:30] Party's attitudes are, where they're going, okay? Here, this is who they picked [10:36] to represent [10:36] the party and respond to Trump's speech. Eliza Slotkin, she was the first [10:43] Democrat ever [10:43] endorsed by Liz Cheney, voted for the Lake and Riley Act, which is the, if you [10:48] suspect [10:48] a person who is Brown, who happens to be undocumented of doing a crime, they [10:52] can be deported instantly [10:53] act, okay? Which is a violation of the Constitution. Anyway, violence due [10:59] process. Empowering Trump [11:01] to detain people without due process and is a top Democrat voter of Trump's and [11:06] is a [11:06] top Democratic voter of Trump's cabinet, okay? As a senator, one of 12 [11:12] Democrats who voted [11:13] for the anti migrant, Lake and Riley act that empowers Donald Trump's ice to [11:15] detain people [11:16] without due process voted for eight of Donald Trump's cabinet nominees, while [11:19] his administration [11:20] dismantles the entire government. As a House member, she was one of 62 [11:23] Democrats who joined [11:24] 148 Republicans to express disgust at South Africans.
