IC–010 | Denouncing Democrats While Dressed as Mao Transcript. Timestamps are stored-video seconds. [0:00] You can feel the changes with every new story. [0:03] The sense of backlash that's in the air. [0:05] Inflation is not under control. [0:08] Data centers that no one wants are taxing energy grids, [0:11] fueling an AI bubble that may not really replace you, [0:15] but will get you laid off regardless. [0:18] It seems like every week our mass Gestapo, ice, [0:22] kills another innocent person. [0:24] In all my years, I don't remember seeing this much blood [0:29] on American pavement. [0:31] I often say that the United States is an empire in decline. [0:36] And home, that means we are a nation in crisis. [0:42] But we're so much of Washington sees dangerous instability. [0:45] I and many of you see promise. [0:49] I see a real opportunity to change this country's trajectory [0:53] to improve the lot of humanity. [0:55] And I know you feel it too. [0:57] It's rooms like these that remind me [1:00] just how many people see right for wrong [1:02] and want to do something about it. [1:04] (audience applauds) [1:07] All around the country, we're getting real fighters elected. [1:18] Fighters who see the crisis and can describe it [1:20] in clear and truthful terms. [1:23] This means demanding an end to the endless wars. [1:27] An end to profiteering off of healthcare. [1:30] (audience applauds) [1:31] An end to the rule by people who put the interests of capital [1:36] over the interests of the working class. [1:41] (audience applauds) [1:44] It's talk like this that has Washington terrified. [1:51] It's talk like this that has MAGA terrified. [1:55] (audience applauds) [1:58] These people that hate movements [2:02] who try to control our lives [2:04] are most afraid of popular action, [2:07] of democracy, of the people. [2:09] They're afraid of us because of the simple fact [2:12] that there are more of us than there are of them. [2:15] (audience applauds) [2:16] And all these happen and they're always building. [2:19] (audience applauds) [2:22] There are more good, decent people [2:24] with moral conviction who find it unfathomable [2:27] that the wealthiest nation on earth chooses to spend [2:30] its billions blowing up schools overseas [2:33] rather than building schools in our neighborhoods. [2:36] (audience applauds) [2:39] Find people who can't understand why [2:43] in the wealthiest nation on earth, [2:45] there are hundreds of thousands of people [2:47] who will go to sleep outside tonight [2:49] and millions more who live paycheck to paycheck. [2:53] (audience applauds) [2:56] Hardworking people. [3:00] Frustrated that an honest day of labor [3:03] delivering packages, cleaning counters, [3:05] or teaching children is no longer enough [3:08] to take care of a family or own a home [3:11] all the while the world's wealthiest man [3:13] sits around tweeting racist screeds [3:15] and unfunny jokes as people grow [3:18] his net worth into the trillions. [3:20] (audience applauds) [3:24] I should add that none of this is an accident. [3:27] The inequality is the design of our system. [3:31] When you see broken downtowns in a state of disrepair [3:35] or pot holes that never get filled [3:37] or homeless people suffering in the streets, [3:39] remember this is the design of our system. [3:44] It is not the moral failings of the individual [3:47] but a whole architecture where the ultra rich [3:51] stick their hands in the pockets of everyone else. [3:55] Just as every person who has no shelter [3:58] is a policy failure, every billionaire is a policy failure. [4:03] (audience applauds) [4:06] But just as every billionaire is a policy failure, [4:16] every congressperson who's refused [4:18] to change these policies have failed you, [4:22] have failed all of us. [4:23] (audience applauds) [4:26] We have placed organ interests [4:30] above the interests of the people. [4:32] I say no more and we say no more. [4:36] (audience applauds) [4:39] I've traveled all around the country. [4:44] I've talked to countless people over dozens of protests. [4:48] Gone to rallies, I've gotten to marches. [4:51] I've got shot at by my own law enforcement [4:54] that I pay with my taxes, the salary of. [4:57] And all I ever hear from the people by my side is no more. [5:03] And not just, thank you. [5:08] (audience laughs) [5:10] And not just the no more to Trumpism [5:13] but no more to the Democrats who compromise, [5:16] who conciliate and who betray us. [5:19] (audience applauds) [5:22] No more to the fascist reactionaries [5:29] but no more to the Democrats who will collaborate [5:31] and cooperate with the fascists who will fund ICE, [5:34] who will fund Israel, who will help poison the planet, [5:37] who will sniff burgers and help bosses. [5:40] We don't need those Democrats anymore. [5:43] (audience applauds) [5:47] In fact, I know we have a message. [5:51] We are coming. [5:53] We are on-box. [5:54] We're on-box. [5:55] We're on-box. [5:56] And we will become undeniable. [5:59] (audience applauds) [6:02] Thank you. [6:06] (audience applauds) [6:10] (audience cheers)
